Hello

 In Campbell

Kia ora koutou

It’s taken a while but finally the Wiritoa Campbell family web site is up and running. I’ve been planning this for about four years, ever since we had a family reunion of just our branch of the family (Ewen Campbell) in 2014. As I say, it’s taken a while, but hopefully the end result is worth it.

I’ll start by thanking Donna and Mark at Quadramedia, their web design skills and more importantly their patience (with me) have made this happen. I also need to thank all those family members who contributed their knowledge to the whakapapa, they too clearly needed a lot of patience. I’ve enjoyed meeting many of them, family I didn’t know existed just a few years ago. After 178 years in New Zealand, it’s a big family.

wiritoa.nz will grow over time as new chapters of our family’s history are added and as the family grows. This is my web site but it’s also a web site for the whole family, really I am just a caretaker for the family’s stories. I’m looking forward to seeing what they want to see here.

Nga mihi nui
Mat

Great Site! According to our family history, some Denune’s (sept of Campbell) were Campbell’s, and fled the law, assuming their mother’s maiden name, Denune. Check it out at my site.
